As the wedding season begins to pick up, Team Whole Street is reflecting on our busiest and best year as wedding videographers to date by sharing a list of the eight most beautiful wedding venues in the St. Louis area.
We were lucky enough to shoot 35 wedding videos in St. Louis and beyond, all for incredible couples who invited us along for the ride of one of the most important days of their lives. Shooting that many wedding videos means that we were in A LOT of wedding venues in St. Louis this year.
There are a ton to choose from, but here are the ones that take the cake:
1. The Jewel Box - A historic charmer with art-deco architecture and lush greenhouse foliage.
From its glass ceiling and walls that let in plenty of beautiful natural light to the expansive grounds surrounding the venue that provide a breathtaking backdrop, The Jewel Box is one of St. Louis’ most unique wedding venues in St. Louis. It is also one of our favorites to shoot.
2. The Stifel Theater - The perfect venue for couples looking for something that feels uniquely St. Louis.
With its original art-deco light fixtures and glistening marble floors, it’s a stunning, elegant backdrop that shines. With so many different spaces within the venue, couples have ample choice when it comes to choosing ceremony, cocktail and reception rooms and planning the flow of their day.
3. Lumen - A private event space for those who want to start with a gorgeous blank canvas and truly create something that is their own.
Soaring ceilings and expansive windows make the Lumen’s space feels more like an upscale loft than wedding venue. We’ve shot many weddings here and no two have been the same. We love seeing what unique spin our couples come up with.
4. Missouri History Museum - A elegant venue with historic elegance and timeless class.
With its striking columns and sky-high ceilings, The Missouri History Museum is a venue that brings historic elegance and timeless class. But the space is not without some whimsy; a vintage plane is suspended overhead in the main ballroom space and we have seen couples hang romantic string lights or big paper globes to add their own unique touch.
5. WOW! Furnishing and Event Center - A rustic wedding venue for an intimate look and feel.
Just about 30 minutes from downtown, located in Alton, IL., WOW! Furnishing and Event Center is an under the radar venue that is full of rustic charm. With both exposed brick and reclaimed walls, the space is full of details that seem to have jumped right off a Pinterest page and into real wedding life. The weddings we have shot here always feel intimate, eclectic, charming, and memorable. It has quickly become one of our favorite spaces.
6. Chandler Hill Vineyards - A St. Louis venue for a beautiful vineyard wedding.
You don’t have to leave Missouri to get married at a scenic vineyard. With its picturesque landscape, delicious wines, and rustic-chic tasting room for receptions, Chandler Hill Vineyards is a perfect venue for couples looking to stray a bit off the beaten path. Located in Defiance, MO., it’s about a 30-minute drive from St. Louis and well worth the trek.
7. Piper Palm House - A unique brick structure with a lily pond perfect for saying “I Do”.
Located in the picturesque Tower Grove Park, The Piper Palm House is a gorgeously symmetrical brick building that overlooks a lily pond. We love the intimate interior that features towering palm trees and is washed in natural light.
8. The Inns at St. Albans - A taste of Europe with scenic views of the Missouri River.
The Inn at St. Alban feels more European villa than Missouri wedding venue. Just ten minutes West of Chesterfield, the cozy venue provides scenic views of a vineyard and the Missouri River. We love the rustic-chic feel of the covered balcony reception space and the surrounding grounds that serve as the perfect ceremony spot.
